I generally run Cummins-endorsed Valvoline Premium Blue, but I do throw in synthetic Rotella when it goes on sale...

I'm at about 5K on the suburban, which is what I like to run.

I never go over 4k miles, and I change it closer to 2k. City miles are hard on a car, especially when you drive 35k a year

That site says 6k. I usually get to around 4.5k before the car starts running rough. The engines that Chrysler put in the Sebring is fairly well known for gumming up. Even with synthetic, it starts running worse around 4.5k. I've tried Mobil 1, Royal Purple, and a few different brands of dino. Same thing. Synthetics do run a little better than dino, though.

    Yeah...

Hoping to replace it with a 2012 or 2013 Audi A4 or A6.

I change my F-150 every 5K miles with Motorcraft synthetic blend 5w20 and FL20S filter and my Explorer every 5K miles with Motorcraft synthetic blend 5w30 and FL20S filter, and my BMW every 7-8 K miles with BMW full synthetic oil (supposed to be good for 15K miles) and Mann filter.

My sister had an '03 Stratus ES with the 2.7 which put itself among the elite...it made it to over 100K miles before oil sludging issues. She changed it every 3K and it ran well until about 120K.

Change it when it's carbon filled, and screw the averages in the book.
