So tired!

Was up at 4:30am this morning to make it to USPS orientation. They made me take THE OATH! I raised my right hand and pledged "that I would" blah blah blah... I got a USPS employee badge and everything.

Day two of orientation tomorrow. 4:30am again and yet another day on Wednesday. I get trained on the small LLV mail trucks next Monday. Funny that I am licensed to drive a 95,000lb semi truck on national highways, but am still not qualified to drive a 3,500lb mail truck.

They have to qualify you? I drove an ice cream truck for a summer. It takes all of 5 minutes to get used to driving on the right side. No other differences than getting acclimated to watching your mirrors from the other side of the truck.

It's a 7 and 1/2 hour class. Couldn't take more than 30 minutes to take the actual driving test. Not sure what the other 7 hours are for. Maintenance maybe?

Not yet. I have several more days of training that still need to be scheduled.
