$100 without a power adapter. I found that the 19-volt Toshiba laptop power adapters work fine with them, but am temporarily sold out. You could also use a generic laptop power adapter (the kind that has a lot of different tips). That's what I used when I reinstalled Windows on it. I have to keep this generic adapter though. I use it a lot when working on machines.

PM me if you want it. (I think this site has PM's.)

I made this drive, including an hour and 14 minutes to unload old equipment in a hair under 5 hours. 67 MPH average isn't bad with all the time in towns and on 55 MPH highways....

But now I have a sweet sweet iPad3.

I wonder if it really has to be this way....

Working for a company is all about the job security. Most of us could probably do better on our own.... if we didn't completely run out of money first...

This weekend in a lot of ways has been a perfect storm in my head of thinking about this shit...

Taylor (my boss, Friday at 10:30): We're stopping work because the application server went down and X won't tell Y why...
Me: Any ideas on what's happening?
Taylor: They likely just were trying to cut costs, not like they aren't getting millions of dollars for this...
Me (5 PM Friday): Putting Rural Broadband in is politically unpopular, it's just like rural electrification was in the 50's.
Cow: I'll tell you why it's unpopular, it's all about the money.
This video actually made me tear up:

I'm coming to the conclusion that everyone in corporate America hates themselves as much as those of us who have chosen not to be in corporate America hate what they represent. It's all about making more money for the rich and about trying to find new and innovative ways to re-engineer the rules for the benefit of the haves. Socialism, the EITC, laws and Cash for Clunkers are all just a bad idea. We need to just start demolition of the things that are making us worse. Unions, taxes, government drones, copyright laws, censorship.

    Surprisingly good day today.

A Microsoft employee walked in the store today and wanted me to upgrade his brand new still in box Lenovo Thinkpad W520 laptop. Well this nice little computer has a Core I7 processor running 2.4GHz. I just added 32GB of DDR3 RAM and a 240GB Intel 520 SSD drive. It's peppy to say the least. Still has that new computer smell since I took it out of the box a couple hours ago.

Now I know what an auto mechanic must feel like when a Lamborghini comes into the shop for an oil change.
